Founder-to-Founder Experience

We know the ins and outs of being a startup founder - including how difficult it can be to balance the day-to-day work required of being a founder with the doubts, uncertainties, and often new challenges required to run a successful company. More than anything else, our leadership coaching methodology is based on building a personal relationship with you, and helping you find your own path forwards.

What To Expect

Honesty and Open Engagement

We work directly with the founders we coach in an interactive, one-on-one fashion via video call. Everything we discuss is strictly confidential; expect that we’ll ask a significant number of questions, and offer kind but candid feedback on what we hear and see.

Specific Needs Analysis

We believe coaching is essentially a journey - taking you from where you are, right now, to where you want to be. From our first sessions, we’ll work closely with you to specifically identify what you are facing, why it is a challenge, and how to help. Coaching is rooted in the now and directed towards the future; we believe the best coaching relationships begin with a clear plan.

Trust and Commitment

We’re here to help, first and foremost. Deciding to engage in professional coaching means investing in it - our engagements typically last for at least a year - but we have no contracts and no commitment required. We’ll work with you for as long or as short a term as you like.

Tools and Techniques


Guided Inquiry

If coaching is a journey, it’s you in the driver’s seat. The fundamental tool we apply is that of inquiry, guided by observation, insight, and experience. Leadership is a living thing, and learning to identify where your skills, emotions, and perceptions intertwine is at the core of FounderTack’s coaching methodology.

Meaningful Engagement

Coaching is a bi-directional act of commitment, focused on personal and professional growth. We work closely with you, meeting weekly or bi-weekly, and all of our sessions are 60 minutes long - we can work around your (presumably busy!) schedule, and we dig deep.

Creative Solution Development

Working together, we will engage in a fundamentally generative process - one oriented towards solutions, helping you navigate your own path from where you are to where you want to be. We might employ techniques such as role-play, dialectic, training on new skills, directed feedback, or structured planning and brainstorming — always collaboratively.
